Abstract
The objectives of this study were to evaluate of marginal and internal(axial and incisal) gaps of fixed dental prostheses(FDPs) printed by selective laser sintering. Titanium model was fabricated and ten stone models were prepared. Ten FDPs were manufactured by selective laser sintering(SLS group) and another ten FDPs using by lost wax technique and casting were manufactured(CAST group). The marginal and internal gaps of FDPs were evaluated using by the silicone replica technique. The marginal and internal gaps were measured using by digital microscope(x160). Statistical analysis were performed with independent t-test(¥á=0.05). Means(SDs) of marginal gaps were 96.4(10.5) § for SLS group and 68.6(9.4) § for CAST group(p=0.001), axial gaps were 41.3(8.3) § for SLS group and 26.8(6.1) § for CAST group(p=0.336) and incisal gaps were 92.9(9.6) § for SLS group and 53.0(10.9) § for CAST group(p=0.053). As a results marginal and internal gaps of FDPs manufactured by selective laser sintering is thought be clinically acceptable.
